Episode 13
Education & Re-Entry
Episode Summary
We are dedicating this episode on education and re-entry to all the seniors who had to graduate online this year due to Covid-19. May the stories of the students of The Goodwill Excel Center inspire you to achieve your greatest potential, because no matter what happens and how you got here, is a testament to your hard work and commitment. In this episode, you will meet several students from The Goodwill Excel Center, a tuition-free adult charter high school in the District of Columbia, which transforms lives and restores hope for a better future.
The D.C. Goodwill Excel Center is part of a network that was started by Goodwill Industries in the state of Indiana back in 2010 with the goal of boosting education attainment levels. The Excel Centers are diploma-granting public charter high schools designed to fit the life circumstances of adults, including men and women who come out of the U.S. prison system.
